Privacy policy

This policy explains what information I collect through andrewcairns.com, how I use it, and the choices you have. "I" and "me" means Andy Cairns.

What I collect

• Details you give me on the quiz or when booking: your first name, email address, mobile number, team size, what your business does, and anything you choose to write about your business.
• Your quiz answers and result: your scores, your biggest friction points, and your segment.
• Where you came from: if you arrive from an ad or a link, the campaign details in that link (for example utm_source, utm_campaign, fbclid or gclid) and the referring website.
• Basic usage data: pages viewed and general device and browser information, collected through privacy-friendly analytics. If I run ads, Meta and LinkedIn tags may also record visits and quiz sign-ups so I can measure those ads.

How I use it

• To show you your result and send you a copy.
• To contact you about your result and whether I can help, by email, phone call or text message.
• To run my business: keeping records of conversations, booking calls, and invoicing if you become a client.
• To understand which pages, quiz questions and ads are useful, and improve them.

Phone calls and text messages

When you tick the consent box on the quiz, you agree that I may call you and send you text messages about your result and my services, at the number you gave. Messages may be sent using automated tools. How often I contact you varies, and is usually only a handful of messages. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of buying anything.

You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. You can also ask me to stop calling you at any time.

I don't sell or share your phone number, or your consent to receive texts, with anyone else for their own marketing.

Who else handles your information

I use a small number of service providers to run the site and my business. They only process your information on my behalf:

• Vercel: website hosting and analytics.
• Google Analytics: website analytics, using cookies to understand how visitors use the site.
• HighLevel (GoHighLevel): my customer records, email and text messaging.
• Resend: sending emails from the website.
• Meta: ad measurement. When you submit a form, the Meta Pixel may send a scrambled (hashed) version of your first name, email and phone number so Meta can match the visit to its users. Meta can't read the original details from the scrambled version.
• LinkedIn: ad measurement, only if that tag is switched on.
• Payment and booking providers such as Stripe and my calendar tool, if you buy or book.

I may also share information if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep your details for as long as they're useful for the reasons above, or until you ask me to delete them. Client records may be kept longer where I need them for tax and accounting.

Your choices

• Ask for a copy of the information I hold about you.
• Ask me to correct or delete it.
• Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, or reply STOP to any text.

Security

I use reputable providers and sensible security practices to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but I take it seriously. I spent twenty years in networks and cybersecurity.

Children

This site is for business owners. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
